BRISBANE FIRE PIT BAN

In 2020 at the height of the Pandemic, Brisbanite's learnt that firing up the humble firepit in your backyard was illegal.

​

I was privileged to lead a public campaign which ultimately forced Council to implement a trial and then perform a complete back flip to allow backyard firepits.

​

This was a tremendous example of people power and that Brisbane remains a community that can come together and fight for what is right.

Council is about local issues and being the people's voice in City 

Hall.
